As COO, David H. Ratner, Ph.D. leads the SEVEN operations and engineering teams in the creation of innovative, high-quality solutions. Dave is also responsible for the delivery, implementation and support of those solutions for SEVEN’s customers worldwide. Ratner holds extensive experience across the wireless industry in engineering, business strategy, and product management, development and delivery. Prior to his position at SEVEN, Ratner served as the SVP of the Wireless Products and Solutions business unit at Carrier Access until completing the sale of Carrier Access to Turin Networks. At Turin, he drove product management, product marketing, market development and product/solution delivery. Ratner also held a variety of roles at and Openwave Systems including Vice President of the Messaging and Communication business unit, Vice President of the Digital Identity business unit, Chief Messaging Strategist, and multiple Engineering Management, Architecture, and Coding roles. Ratner has published multiple papers, including Replication Requirements in Mobile Environments published in Mobile Networks and Applications (MONET) Vol. 6 in 2001, and has spoken at numerous industry events. Ratner holds a B.A. in Mathematics and a B.A. in Computer Science from Cornell University, graduating magna cum laude with distinction in all subjects, and received his M.S. and Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of California, Los Angeles.
